Tips to recognize and avoid common scams.

Your account security is our top priority. With phishing, social engineering, and impersonation attacks on the rise, we want to ensure you know how to recognize and avoid these common scams.

Here are some tips to protect your accounts:

    1. Be cautious of unsolicited messages. Bad actors may try to steal your account information using various schemes, including phone calls and texts using spoofed numbers, phishing emails and fraudulent social media messages, counterfeit websites, malware, and more. If you receive an unsolicited message, make sure to verify its legitimacy, even if it appears to come from a legitimate source.
    2. If you notice red flags or suspect fraud, slow down and don’t engage. Never respond to scammers and avoid clicking links or downloading programs, especially remote access software like TeamViewer or AnyDesk, which can grant unwanted access to your account or devices. Be aware that scanning QR codes carries risks, as they may lead to fake websites designed to steal your credentials. We encourage you to report suspicious activity to Binance.US Support.
    3. Never share the following information to anyone claiming to represent Binance.US. We will never ask you to send funds to an external wallet address, call you, or send unsolicited messages via text, email, WhatsApp, Telegram, or social media. Furthermore, we will never ask for your account clave, security codes, or request that you scan a QR code.
    4. Take steps to improve your account security. Use an app-based two-factor authentication method like Google Authenticator as your sole 2FA method. Always set a strong and unique clave and ensure your devices run on the latest software versions. Consider using a reputable antivirus software to protect your devices and be cautious of malicious browser extensions and apps that can run in the background to steal sensitive information.
    5. Think before posting online and avoid sharing personal or financial information. Sharing information such as your cryptocurrency accounts, holdings, or wallet information may put you at risk of targeted attacks from bad actors.
